William Hurlock Partner Seiger Gfeller Laurie, LLP 330 Madison Ave., Sixth Floor New York, NY 10017 Bill Hurlock is a partner with the firm and practices primarily in the area of litigation specializing in general and complex commercial litigation with a particular focus on health insurance fraud. He has a wide range of experience in all aspects of litigation, arbitration, mediation and appeals. Bill has been featured in The American Lawyer Magazine and the Corporate Crime Reporter. Recently, Bill served as one of the lead attorneys in a case that resulted in a $155 million recovery on behalf of the United States. In addition, he successfully sought and obtained releases of wrongly incarcerated inmates in pro bono matters before the N.J. Department of Corrections. Among Hurlock’s recent cases, is the successful dismissal of an action by the United States Government to rescind a client's purchase of real property from the United States Marshals Service. He also obtained dismissal of a suit filed against a client arising out of the development of real property overlooking the Hudson River in New Jersey. In granting the dismissal, the court also awarded the fees and costs incurred in seeking dismissal. Prior to joining SGL, Bill practiced for several years at Newark law firms including Herrick, Feinstein, LLP and Boies, Schiller & Flexner, L.L.P. He has successfully defended a number of corporations in class action lawsuits and several Fortune 500 companies in the diet drug, latex glove and asbestos national mass tort litigations. Before moving to New Jersey, Bill was a federal prosecutor serving as an Associate Independent Counsel for the Office of Independent Counsel David M. Barrett investigating allegations concerning the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C.
